TEACHERS’ PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR NEEDS ADDRESSING: M.E.H.R.D
The professional behaviour of teachers is an issue the Ministry needs to address, says the Acting Permanent Secretary for Education, Human Resources Development James Bosemata.
Mr Bosamata made the statement this morning at a workshop held for Chief Education Officers (CEO), from the provinces and from churches, and their Education Authorities.
The Acting Permanent Secretary said the CEOs and Education Authorities need to solve the professional behaviour of their teachers.
He adds the Education Authorities need to ensure that they have the right number of teachers in schools.
Meanwhile, the Acting Permanent Secretary says Education Authorities who perform well will receive extra resources as part of their decentralisation.
Education authorities who do not perform well will only get additional resources for service delivery when the Ministry is confident that required standards will be met.
