Tetere police have recovered a stolen bulldozer over the weekend following police negotiations with community leaders at Lulunga area.

The stolen bulldozer was removed early this month by angry landowners and demanded ransom from a private logging company which was operating at Numbu area, East Guadalcanal.

Police have responded to the incident and retrieved the machine with a reconciliation feast over the weekend at the local village.

Police urge members of the public to avoid taking the law into their own hands, but direct their grievances through the right authority.
