Y@W INTERNS MET WITH US NAVY MARINES
About 150 Youth at Work members have met and spoke to the US NAVY and MARINES as part of their training on Friday last week.
The youths are in Phase Eight of the Youth@Work Internship Program.
Six members of the US Military under the US-Pacific Partnership Program gave their time to answering questions from the youth and shared their experiences in the military.
The interns learned about the importance of volunteering, sacrifice and serving their nation.
A member of the US-Partnership Program Airforce Chaplain Ken Diekema spoke about his experience in finding a job when he was young.
He also encouraged the youth to be determined, humbled and to accept they have to start somewhere, even if it’s hard work and less pay.
